J&K BOSE Releases Date Sheet for Class 10th Annual/Regular Exams 2025
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (J&K BOSE) has released the date sheet for the Class 10th Annual/Regular examinations, scheduled to take place from November 3 to November 27, 2025. The exams will be held in the Oct-Nov session, and approximately 95,000 students from Kashmir Division and winter zone areas of Jammu Division, including students from Ladakh UT, are expected to participate.
In light of the disruptions caused by heat waves, torrential rains, cloudbursts, and floods, the J&K BOSE has granted a 15% relaxation in the syllabus for the Annual/Regular exams, making it equivalent to 85% of the total marks. The board has urged students to prepare seriously for the examinations while maintaining high standards of transparency.
The examination schedule is as follows:
- Mathematics: November 3
- Social Science: November 7
- Science: November 11
- English: November 14
- Urdu/Hindi: November 17
- Vocational subjects: November 19 (between Computer Science)
- Painting/Art and Drawing: November 27
- Other subjects with smaller number of candidates: Various dates between November 19 and November 27
The J&K BOSE has also exhorted invigilatory staff to maintain professionalism and discharge their duties to safeguard the purity and integrity of the exams. The board has requested the School Education Department (SED) to extend cordial support for the smooth and fair conduct of the examination.

The water level of Jhelum at Sangam has come down below the Danger Mark after 28 hrs. The water level is gradually receding and is expected to come down below the Flood Declaration Mark by 3 a.m.
*7 Kashmiris feared dead after landslide hits Himachal’s Kullu*

Srinagar, Sept 04 (KNO): At least seven reaidents from Kashmir are feared dead after a massive landslide hit Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, officials said on Thursday.
An official told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that rescue operations are on and that all victims are residents of Tulail, Bandipora, who were working as labourers in Himachal.
Meanwhile, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) said a landslide in Kullu led to the collapse of two houses, leaving around 12–13 persons feared trapped.
“An NDRF team carried out collapsed structure search and rescue (CSSR) operations, during which three injured persons were rescued and one body was recovered. Search and rescue operations are continuing to trace the remaining trapped victims,” the NDRF posted on X.

Honb’le MLA Shamim Firdous Reviews Flood Preparedness Measures in Habba Kadal.
Advocate Shamim Firdous, Hon’ble MLA Habba Kadal, conducted an extensive tour of flood-prone areas of her constituency, including Kani Kadal, Zaldagar, Syed Mansoor Sahib, and Nawa Kadal, to review preparedness in view of the rising water level in the Jhelum River.
Acting on the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, she directed the Irrigation and Flood Control Department to ensure the immediate availability of sandbags and other protective materials at vulnerable spots. She further instructed officials to accelerate pending works and remain on high alert to minimize the risk of flooding.
During her interactions with residents, the MLA reassured the public that all necessary preventive measures would be taken. She also recalled the hardships faced during the 2014 floods, noting that many poor families were left without compensation, and stressed that such suffering must not be repeated.
