As there is news of an 18% hike in transportation fares in Jammu & Kashmir, there is confusion among the public regarding the revised rates. I request the Bandipora ARTO to kindly update and publish the new fare list at the earliest.

The revised fare list should be displayed in every commercial vehicle to avoid confusion and prevent daily arguments between passengers and drivers.

The cancellation of appointments of only the selected firemen raises serious questions about fairness and accountability. If the Anti-Corruption Bureau has confirmed large-scale manipulation of OMR sheets and the merit list, then responsibility does not lie solely with the candidates whose appointments were cancelled. Those officials, intermediaries, and individuals who planned, executed, supported, or facilitated the scam must also be identified and terminated. Punishing only the beneficiaries while sparing the perpetrators and enablers undermines justice and erodes public trust in the recruitment system. A thorough investigation should ensure action against all involved, not selective punishment.
