📢 Public Notice for Development Works in Surankote

PWD (R&B) Division Surankote has issued e-NIT No. 65 of 2025-26, inviting tenders for newly sanctioned projects, including:

🏫 Facelifting & Improving Infrastructure in HSS Gunthal

🌉 Construction of 20 Mtr Span Motorable Bridge at Madarsa Qasim Ul Uloom Seri Khawaja

These projects have been sanctioned, and tenders are now invited for ex*****on — marking another step toward improving connectivity and educational infrastructure in Surankote.

Started macadamization work from MES Water Point to Potha Army Camp along with officials of department and respected people of the area. Assured qualitative and timely completion of work for better connectivity in Surankote.

Yesterday, an eviction drive was carried out in Dhok of Hari, Surankote, where families have been living for the last 50 years. Their only shelter was dismantled, leaving them under the open sky in this harsh weather.

While the Government has granted rights under the Forest Rights Act (FRA), nothing has been implemented on the ground. This contradiction between promises and reality has only added to the suffering of the poor.

I earnestly appeal to the Hon’ble Court to kindly reconsider this order, keeping in mind the human angle and long habitation of these families. I also urge those who have taken this matter to the court to hear the cries of these poor families and withdraw this petition in the interest of justice and humanity.

It is the duty of the State to protect its people, not to render them homeless.
