The launch of the web-portal-“Handmade-Kashmir” is mainly focused on to knowledge dissemination of Kashmir Handicrafts-which includes pashmina and walnut wood craft at initial stage and will cover other handicrafts at lateral stage. By this initiative people in general and artisans in particular will be able to know about the crafts and the related techniques involved in their manufacturing process. Besides, this artisan group will be able to join active discussions, forums, find manufacturer, buyers and interaction with expert buyer sellers will also take place. It will also act as meeting platform where by simple clique of technology person can register one’s business, can access the knowledge regarding authentic craft products, know about GI sources & can also get an expert advice.
