I just watched this clip and was shocked to see a singer with such a soulful voice performing on the floor while the audience sat comfortably on chairs. It was truly heart-wrenching to witness the lack of even basic stage arrangements. This reflects the unfortunate reality of how artists are treated in Jammu & Kashmir. The level of respect and facilities given to performers here is deeply disappointing.

I have personally faced similar situations many times — until I finally refused to perform under such conditions.

In the video, the police officials and other dignitaries were enjoying his beautiful voice, yet it seems no one cared enough to offer him a proper place to perform.

Sorry, J&K… we really need to do better for our artists. VC: Paristaani
