Hoping the rains return like this every year,
the river keeps flowing like it is today,
and the people around it truly benefit from it.

Under Mission River, the Dholakia Foundation has begun the restoration work of the Jhamkudi River.

The work is still in progress, but change is already visible.
What was once dry is beginning to hold water, slowly finding its flow again.

A small shift today, towards a living river tomorrow.

But no one asked us about drying rivers.
No one tested us on the lives of farmers.
No syllabus prepared us for the struggles of real communities.

And yet, this is where the real learning begins.
