If there is one false notion Indian investors must bury in the aftermath of the on-going pullback in equity markets then it’s that India's mammoth SIP flows from our retail investors, which stands at a staggering INR 21,000+ Crores (over $2.5 billion) per month provide any material protection / insulation to our markets in the face a downturn in global markets / economy! They do NOT! This is an opportune moment to revisit this video of mine that I had published on 15th June this year - long before the onset of the current bout of weakness in equity markets.
