This is what I hear from most of the parents in different ways.
They don't have a favourite toy to play with or initiate communication upon...
They hardly sit for a few seconds..
Before we can start an activity they are gone.....

My take home message is don't chose for them. Let them show you what they want to do. Let it be messy. Always follow their lead.
