Title: Backward Difference and Ratio Operations: Representation of Numerical Data on a Pair of Variables by a Polynomial Curve
Authors: Dhritikesh Chakrabarty
Abstract: One method has been constructed for representing a given set of numerical data on a pair of variables by a polynomial curve due to the necessity of such method/formula in interpolation by the approach which consists of the representation of numerical data by a suitable polynomial first and then to compute the value of the dependent variable from the polynomial corresponding to any given value of the independent variable. The method is based on two numerical operations namely backward difference operation and ratio operation. This paper describes the theoretical derivation of the method with numerical example in order to show the application of the method developed to numerical data.

Title: Titled Bianchi Type I Cosmological Model for Barotropic Perfect Fluid
Authors: Sheetal Mandowara , *Gajendra Pal Singh and Atul Tyagi
Abstract: We have investigated Tilted Bianchi type-I cosmological models with
Barotropic perfect fluid p , where γ is a constant. To get deterministic model,
we assumed that , BC A a condition between metric potential. The Physical and
Geometrical aspects of model are also discussed.

Title: Development of Beans Dehulling Machine
Authors: Olutayo L.A, Mogaji K.O, Fawohunre A.J and Akinfiresoye W.A
Abstract: Beans are dehulled from its coat locally, which has been in existence for long i.e. use of mortar and pestle to pound soaked beans. Improvement on this technology has been the focuses of study in dehulled beans seed. It is worthwhile, to note that the production and consumption of bean seeds have a great influence on the nutrition. In Nigeria the mechanized method of dehulling is required to boost dehulled beans production. Therefore, a beans dehulling machine that is easy to operate, maintain and at low -cost was designed and fabricated. The major components of the machine are; frame, hopper, dehulling chamber (abrasive material) and the discharged unit. The working principle of the machine is by feeding a soaked beans into the machine through the hopper, as the shaft rotate, it also carries it until the beans travel radially along the roller; the abrasive surface of the insulator dehulls it from its coat. The dehulled beans and its coat come out through the machine outlet in the lower half of the dehulling chamber. The bean dehulled is a function of the clearance between the hopper and the Dehulling chamber. The machine had a throughput of 45 kg/hr. and functional efficiency of 70 %. The total production cost of the machine was N65, 200 as at time of fabrication.it is recommended for small and medium producers of processed beans

Title: Molecular Analysis of Anti-salinity Compounds on Date Palm offshoots (Phoenix dactylifera L.) cultivars using RAPD techniques
Authors: Hussein J. Shareef , Abbas M. Jasim; Muayed F. Abbas
Abstract: Date Palm, as one of the important fruit crops, has grown worldwide. The aim of the present study was to analyze the overall growth of the two cultivar growth under salinity after anti- salinity treatments. Both the cultivars analyzed for the growth contributing parameters as compared with their respective control. To study the genetic variability in both cultivars offshoots after anti-salinity treatment, DNA fingerprinting was performed using RAPD technology. The results showed that the application of anti- salinity treatments significantly increased the leaf area and the number of new leaves compared to control. Also, the anti-salinity treatments significantly increased total soluble carbohydrates and proline compared to control. Some of the anti-salinity treatments effect on DNA molecular markers, especially the treatment of Salicylic acid at 1000 ppm offshoot-1 gave the highest percentage of Polymorphism using OPH-6, OPH-12 and OPA-10 primers in Sayer cultivar. Whereas the treatment of Salicylic acid at 1000 ppm offshoot-1 gave the Polymorphism percentage with Berhi cultivar when using an OPA-10 primer only. Overall, the data suggest that anti-salinity treatment has the ability to alter the percentage of offshoots growth, and can be used to improved tolerance of date palm offshoots adaptation to salinity tolerance using RAPD techniques.
