|BTC Chief and BPF President Hagrama Mohilary announced on social media that, at the request of the BPF and based on a proposal by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), MCLA Bijit Gwra Narzary is being considered for the prestigious position of Deputy Speaker of the 5th Executive Council of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC).

Hagrama Mohilary stated that Narzary is expected to be appointed with unanimous consent in the legislative assembly session scheduled for November.

The appointment reflects the ongoing political coordination between the BPF and BJP as the new council prepares to commence its term.
