In Walur Village, Selu Taluka, in the Parbhani District of Maharashtra, India, there is a spiral stepwell that is 1,000 years old and has 8 entrances. This one-of-a-kind "Helical Stepwell" has circular steps going down from 8 sides to the well shaft and 8 Devakoshta (niches) above the steps.

The people of Walur Village recently did a huge cleaning campaign to bring the stepwell back to its former beauty. They got rid of the trash and other things that had piled up over the years, which showed the detailed design and historical importance of this old building. This stepwell, which is thought to be between 1,000 and 1,500 years old, is a great example of the creative architecture and rich cultural history of the area.
