WITHOUT PATHOLOGY, THERE IS NO MEDICINE.

A 5 month old child being admitted for surgery of congenital inguinal hernia, on routine blood examination, CBC picture turned out to be of ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKAEMIA (ALL).

On tracing history, baby has recurrent episodes of fever and cold since birth. No other history/Lymphadenopathy/Hepatosplenomegaly.

Though the news was tragic for family and baby's life, but EARLY DIAGNOSIS done by me makes me feel blessed to be THE PATHOLOGIST.
As child would be receiving treatment before any untoward complication arises or condition worsens for treatment.
