I received this book as an ARC from the author, and it turned out to be much more than I initially expected.
Going in, I assumed it would focus mainly on politics and investigation, but the story quickly expanded into something far more layered. The blend of secret missions, hidden identities, and unique abilities adds an engaging dynamic that keeps the narrative interesting throughout.
One of the strongest aspects for me was how the characters function as a team. They don’t rely solely on their abilities—instead, there’s a clear emphasis on planning, strategy, and intelligent decision-making. That balance makes the story feel more grounded and believable.
The sequence toward the end, particularly the spy-related situation, stood out. It was handled in a controlled and thoughtful way, without relying on excessive action, which made it more impactful.
Despite having multiple elements at play, the story remains easy to follow. The progression is clear, and I never felt lost or overwhelmed.
I also appreciated the emotional layer brought in through the family connections. It adds warmth to the narrative and gives the story more depth beyond just the plot.
The ending feels complete and satisfying—it resolves the main storyline while still leaving enough curiosity for what might come next.
Overall, this was an enjoyable and well-balanced read. Thanks to the author for providing an ARC.
