AP Chambers Tourism Committee held a successful State-Level Tourism Meeting in Vijayawada on 18 June 2026, bringing together tourism stakeholders from across Andhra Pradesh to discuss measures for accelerating tourism growth in the State.

The meeting welcomed the Government’s Beach Shack Policy and put forward several recommendations, including the development of tourism circuits, faster approvals for tourism projects, destination management committees, and a dedicated grievance redressal mechanism for the tourism sector.

Following the meeting, an AP Chambers delegation led by President Sri Potluri Bhaskara Rao met Sri Ajay Jain, IAS, Special Chief Secretary, Tourism Department, and Sri Mukesh Kumar Meena, IAS, Principal Secretary, Revenue (Excise-II) Department, and submitted detailed representations on strengthening the Beach Shack Policy and promoting sustainable tourism development in Andhra Pradesh.

AP Chambers hosted the Malaysian Consul General and trade delegation on 8 June 2026 to explore bilateral trade and investment opportunities between Andhra Pradesh and Malaysia. Discussions focused on sectors such as palm oil, manufacturing, food processing, aquaculture, electronics, EVs, renewable energy, healthcare, digital infrastructure, and tourism. AP Chambers highlighted Andhra Pradesh’s strong investment ecosystem and invited Malaysian companies to invest in the State. The meeting concluded with a decision to organise sector-specific buyer-seller meets, business delegations, and B2B interactions to strengthen trade and investment ties.
