🌍 World Environment Day Celebration 🌱

Organized by Action for Rural Technology (ART), Yavatmal | In association with Axis Bank Ltd.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, ART (Action for Rural Technology), Yavatmal, in collaboration with Axis Bank Ltd., organized a large-scale Tree Plantation Drive at Sabla village, Kaij block, Beed district (Maharashtra) as a strong step toward environmental conservation and sustainable rural development.

As part of ART’s ongoing commitment to nature care and preservation of natural resources, a total of 2,000 high-quality indigenous trees were planted today. The species included:
🌿 लिंब (Neem) – 300
🌳 वड (Banyan) – 300
🌰 बदाम (Almond) – 100
🍈 सिताफळ (Custard Apple) – 200
🌿 करंजी (Karanja) – 400
🌱 प्लेंटा फॉम (Planta Foam) – 50
🌳 कदम (Kadamba) – 90
🌸 बकुळ (Bakul) – 400
🌲 महागणी (Mahogany) – 160

🤝 The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat Secretary, local GP members, and 25+ volunteers, showcasing strong community ownership and collective responsibility for environmental protection.

This initiative is a reflection of ART’s core objective—to promote eco-conscious practices and empower rural communities to preserve their natural ecosystems.

💦 Transforming Water Distress into Water Surplus!💧💦

We're excited to announce the expansion of our mission to transform water-scarce villages into water-surplus ones!

Following the successful launch of the "Transforming Drinking Water Distress to Water Surplus Village" project in Kothi village, Kaij block, Beed district on 16th Feb 2025, supported by Axis Bank Ltd., we've now begun work at a new location in Dharmala village on 20th Feb 2025.

Our team at Action for Rural Technology (ART), Yavatmal, is collaborating with the Gram Panchayat (GP) Sarpanch, members, villagers, especially farmers and women, to bring them sustainable water solutions. The community is extremely enthusiastic about taking control of their water needs, and we're proud to work for them!💧 🌱
