Research: Pediatric T1D cases rose during the pandemic:

A study in JAMA Pediatrics found that the number of children diagnosed with type 1 diabetes during the COVID-19 pandemic was significantly higher than in previous years, and there were also more cases where children initially presented with pediatric diabetic ketoacidosis during the one-year pandemic period.
