شوریده‌ شیرازی شاعر قرن چهاردهم و زاده شیراز است. در کودکی بینایی چشم‌هایش را به خاطر آبله از دست داد و در نه سالگی پدرش را. شوریده به خاطر مکاتبه و معاشره با شاعران بزرگ معاصر مشهور شد. مزار او در سعدیه است.
Shoorideh Shirazi is a Persian poet from 20th century. Smallpox during childbirth blinded him. At 9 he lost his father. Despite his problematic childhood, he became one of the well known poets in 20th century, after active correspondence and competition with big contemporary poets. He was buried close to Saadi’s tomb in Shiraz.

I have been born and grown up in Iran. I have been traveling not very little. But this country never stops surprising me with its beauty. I had read about Naiin in the famous kids’ poem book of “the thief and Felfeli’s chicken”, but I couldn’t imagine its such a rich city before I saw it.

من در ایران به دنیا آمدم و بزرگ شدم. کم هم سفر نکرده‌ام، اما این کشور دست از شگفت زده کردن من بر نمی‌دارد. اسک نایین را از کتاب دزده و مرغ فلفلی به یاد داشتم اما اصلا چنین تصوری از آن نداشتم. به معنی حقیقی کلمه این شهر غنی ست.

Saffron flower has 3 parts. The vivid crimson stigma and styles, called threads, are the one that is dried and sold. But the yellow part is also useable for coloring food. The purple petals are also used as herbal tea.
گل زعفران سه قسمت دارد. پرچم زرشکی رنگ خود زعفران است که جدا و خشک می‌شود تا فروخته شود. اما پرچم‌های زردرنگ هم برای رنگ دادن به غذا مناسب‌اند. گلبرگهای بنفش‌رنگ هم دمنوشی عالی‌ست.
