Shout out to the leadership of Spazio Seme for working so hard to make the Opera Seme program a success! Their unique approaches to art and movement give our students a 360-degree experience. Making music is so much more about transmuting the notes on the page; it's the full engagement of the mind, body, breath, and spirit. ✨

We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Greta Feeney as a Masterclass instructor this summer!
Greta Feeney is an American soprano whose international career spans opera, concert, and recital. Praised for her "silver-tipped vocalism backed by considerable tonal heft and dramatic concision" (San Francisco Chronicle), she is a Merola Opera Program alumna and recipient of the Adler Fellowship at the San Francisco Opera, where her roles included Jano in Janáček's Jenůfa, Gretel in Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel, Marzelline in Beethoven's Fidelio, Despina in Mozart's Così fan tutte, and Marguerite in the world premiere of Lewis Spratlan's Earthrise, among others.
Other engagements include appearances with the Spoleto Festival USA, Ohio Light Opera, and Western Opera Theatre. Particularly active in Baroque repertoire, Dr. Feeney has sung the title roles in Handel's Agrippina and Cavalli's Eliogabalo, and has appeared as soloist with the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, the New Century Chamber Orchestra, St. Luke's Chamber Ensemble, the American Bach Soloists, and the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Two song cycles — Bruce Rockwell's "Pashtun Songs" and Daniel David Feinsmith's "Miriam Poems" — were composed for her and premiered during her Adler Fellowship.
Dr. Feeney is the recipient of the Schwabacher Award, a first-place winner in the New York district and national semi-finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and a recipient of awards from the George London Foundation, the Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation, and the Koussevitzky Foundation. She performed leading roles at the Juilliard Opera Center and holds degrees from the Mannes College of Music (BM), the Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music (MM), and Stony Brook University (DMA). She is Assistant Professor of Voice at Bilkent University in Ankara, Türkiye.
