He will be teaching CONTEMPORARY REPERTOIRE

Born in Rome and raised between Rome and Paris, Ludovico trained at the Académie Chaptal, the Paris Opéra Ballet School, and graduated from Stuttgart’s renowned John Cranko Schule. He joined the Stuttgart Ballet, performing a wide repertoire from classical to contemporary, including works by Cranko, Haydée, Cherkaoui, Goecke, Clug, Béjart, Forsythe, and Spuck.

Alongside his performing career, he developed a strong passion for creation and began collaborating with emerging choreographers in 2014. This led to a long-standing partnership with Marco Goecke, assisting him on numerous international productions and restaging his works for major companies such as the Paris Opéra, Greek National Ballet, Nuremberg Staatsballett, National Ballet of Canada, and Hessisches Staatsballett.

From 2019 to 2024 he served as ballet master at Staatstheater Hannover. He now works internationally as a guest teacher and stager, and since August 2025 he has taken on the role of General Director of Ballett Basel alongside Artistic Director Marco Goecke.
