1000 ospiti, 1000 candele, 1000 anni di musica. Il concerto celebra 1000 anni di storia dell’Abbazia di San Miniato al tramonto, sul sagrato davanti alla spettacolare vista sulla città di Firenze.

MILLENNIUM SUNSET CONCERT è uno spettacolo di beneficenza i cui proventi saranno destinati all’installazione permanente di una scultura commemorativa presso la storica abbazia.

Programma:

Opera di Ian C. Scott, commissionata per l’occasione in prima esecuzione assoluta.
Quattro movimenti per Orchestra riferiti ai quattro elementi della vita, secondo la simbologia dell’ordine benedettino, eseguita dall' Orchestra Filharmonie diretta dal Maestro Nima Keshavarzi.

Musiche del Medioevo e del Rinascimento eseguite su antichi strumenti dal trio “VoceDAnima”.

Musiche del repertorio Classico, Operistico e Romantico eseguite dall’orchestra La Filharmonie.

Rappresentazione teatrale sui maggiori eventi storici del Millennio legati all’Abbazia a cura della compagnia Medici Dinasty.

The Millennium Sunset Concert is an outdoor concert honouring the Abbey of San Miniato's 1000 year history in a spectacular setting overlooking the city of Florence.

The inaugural performance of a newly-commissioned composition by Florentine composer Ian Cecil Scott, comprised of 4 movements representing the 4 elements of life, symbolically important to the Benedictine Order.

Performed by the Orchestra La Filharmonie, a 25 piece orchestra, Directed by Nima Keshavarzi.

The evening will also feature music played by VoceDAnimA, a trio performing Medieval and Renaissance music accompanied with original ancient instruments and theatrical performances by Medici Dynasty highlighting historical events over the past millennium.
