🌏Un risultato importante che conferma un principio chiaro: l'allevamento è una risorsa strategica per l'Europa, per la nostra competitività, per la sicurezza alimentare e per il futuro dei nostri territori.

🤝Con questa Strategia adottiamo un approccio pragmatico, che sostiene gli allevatori e li accompagna nell'affrontare le grandi sfide della competitività, della sostenibilità e del benessere animale.

👨‍🌾L'allevamento svolge anche un ruolo fondamentale per la coesione territoriale. Significa mantenere vive le aree rurali e montane, contrastare lo spopolamento e creare opportunità di crescita e occupazione nelle comunità locali.

📈Sostenere questo settore significa investire nel futuro dell'Europa e nella forza dei suoi territori.

🇬🇧 Today, at the College of Commissioners, we approved the European Livestock Strategy.

🌏This is an important achievement that confirms a clear principle: livestock farming is a strategic asset for Europe. For our competitiveness, for food security, and for the future of our territories.

🤝With this Strategy, we are taking a pragmatic approach that supports farmers and helps them address the major challenges of competitiveness, sustainability and animal welfare.

👨‍🌾Livestock farming also plays a fundamental role in territorial cohesion. It helps keep rural and mountain areas alive, counter depopulation, and create opportunities for growth and jobs in local communities.

📈Supporting this sector means investing in Europe’s future and in the strength of its territories.

🇪🇺 A Cork, insieme all'intero Collegio dei Commissari europei, per l'avvio della Presidenza irlandese del Consiglio dell'Unione europea.

Con i ministri del Governo irlandese abbiamo avuto un confronto sui principali dossier europei. Ci aspettano mesi importanti e sarà fondamentale lavorare insieme per rafforzare la competitività dell'Europa, rendere la politica di coesione ancora più efficace, consolidare la nostra autonomia strategica e affrontare con stabilità le sfide che abbiamo davanti.

🇮🇪 In Cork, together with the entire College of European Commissioners, for the launch of the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Together with the Irish Government ministers, we discussed the EU's key priorities and policy files. Important months lie ahead, and it will be essential to work together to strengthen Europe's competitiveness, make cohesion policy even more effective, reinforce our strategic autonomy, and address the challenges ahead with stability and determination.
