Between Ink and Sound è la residenza artistica di composizione jazz del Castro Jazz Festival. Non un laboratorio teorico: qui scrivi per un'orchestra jazz vera e la senti prendere vita.

Dal 17 al 21 agosto lavori a Castro fianco a fianco con Vincenzo Presta, Gabriele di Franco e Simone Stefanizzi: componi, provi e riscrivi insieme all'orchestra. Poi, il 23 agosto, la tua musica aprirà il Castro Jazz Festival!

Se sei un musicista, compositore, arrangiatore e vuoi prendere parte alla residenza artistica sei il benvenuto!

Italian composer, double bassist and researcher Ferdinando Romano is featured in the Bassman Now column of the latest issue of The Walker’s, one of Japan’s leading jazz magazines.

“Following his acclaimed debut Totem, which earned him the Best New Italian Talent award and the 2021 SIAE Prize, Romano has continued to release outstanding recordings. His latest album, The Legends of Otranto, released in April 2025, further confirms his place among the most respected double bassists of the new generation, both in Italy and on the international jazz scene.”
