AD Studio

Exactly a year ago they canceled the last project I was working for, an international travel trade show in Berlin. Just one month before I had a call with a colleague who told me she was worried that many clients would cancel us due to the coronavirus in China, very calmly I replied that I thought it was just a temporary political move. Yeah right, well ... here we are. Since March of last year I have dedicated myself almost full-time to being a mother and housewife and I have realized (contrary to what I thought before as a super-power-working-mom) that it is actually a great privilege. It is as much, sometimes much more work than any other work, even though there are no salaries, promotions not even a pat on the back. (I ask myself often why is such hard work not paid anyways?!?!) In this last year I realized that it is actually an honor to take care of my babies, cooking and taking care of the house, instead of paying somebody else to do it for me. It is a gift not to have to rush the children to eat breakfast, to run, because you need to get to the office. In short, there are many things that I have learned to enjoy or see in another way. Nevertheless, I really miss my job. AD Studio was my little project that made me happy and gave me that adrenaline rush that I needed every day. I had to dismiss two great girls who did an awesome job but I couldn't continue paying without having any income. This year has been a year of many life lessons. The most important one is that you do not have to take anything for granted. I miss my work, every day, and I hope one day to resume it. Maybe also in a different way, because that is the magic of personal development… getting aware and feel the little transformations inside you.
