Earlier today, it was revealed that a man has died after being sucked into the engine of a Volotea plane at Bergamo Airport.

According to confidential information, a passenger forced the doors of gate 208 or 209 and entered the tarmac. He/she was chased in vain by an airport operator and a law enforcement officer. The person reached the Volotea Airlines Airbus A319-111 EC-MTF which had completed the push back. The person started banging his fists on the CFMI CFM56-5B6/P engine n°2 as if to attract the crew's attention. The person then moved towards engine n°1 which, unfortunately, had already started. And was sucked in.
