Applicants must not be in full time education or employment if accepted onto the training. They must have been living in the UK for a minimum of a year and have the right to work in the UK. You should also reside in the UK at the time of application. It is primarily aimed at individuals from under-represented backgrounds and those with limited educational or employment opportunities, including unemployed graduates.

Individuals who have a passion for the TV and Film industries and who have little or no experience working within these industries.

Duration: The training is Full time. 14 weeks of intensive hands on training with 6 months of follow-up career support. The training is full time, Mondays-Fridays and will involve working some weekends. We require flexibility and complete availability from participants.

Location: The training takes place in London, at Sky Osterley Campus TW7 5QD

Financial Support: Trainees will receive a training allowance (National Minimum Wage). Please note the 1st 4 weeks (4weeks and 4 days for Trainee Management) of free training are not paid, and the remaining 10 weeks are paid and are paid a month in arrears. We also do not provide any accommodation for trainees.

Application deadline for the Autumn What's Up TV training is Midnight the 17th of July 2019. Applications sent in any time after 00:00am will not be accepted.

Training Dates: 9th September – 13th of December 2019. Trainee Production Manager and Trainee Production Coordinator start earlier on the 3rd of September 2019.

Industry Placements: Trainees who are successful in completing the Spring 2019 training programme will go onto paid work placements at Sky, Endemol Shine and Procam TV. Please note that industry placements will start as soon as the training at MAMA Youth finishes or in the new year, 2020.
