A Journey Through Time: My Parents’ Wedding Photos 📸✨ It was 1986. A year that now feels so far away, yet for my parents, it was the beginning of a journey together. Two years later, I would be born, but in those black-and-white or slightly faded color photographs, their love was already there, forever captured on film. 1986 was a year of major events around the world: in Italy, the “Paninaro” fashion was booming, Enzo Bearzot’s national team was trying to defend the World Cup title won four years earlier, and Indietro Tutta! by Renzo Arbore aired for the first time on TV. Meanwhile, the Chernobyl disaster shook Europe, and Diego Maradona made football history at the 1986 World Cup in Mexico with his legendary “Hand of God” goal. And then there were my parents—young, in love, holding each other tightly in a sincere embrace in front of the camera. It was a time when photography was still analog: no screens to check the shot, no filters, just the magic of light captured on film. Every photo was precious, each shot a little treasure carefully kept in family albums. Looking at those images today, I realize how powerful photography is: a bridge between past and present, a way to relive emotions that time would otherwise take away.
