In Nigeria, political leaders can recruit hundreds of people across the states, appoint themselves into positions of power, and continue paying themselves with public funds. Yet, when citizens ask why the country is not progressing, they turn around and say, "Nigerian youths are lazy."
Then the First Lady tells graduates to start selling akara, as if that's the solution to unemployment after years of hardship and economic challenges.
Is selling akara really the best option for graduates who spent years earning degrees? Nigerians deserve policies that create jobs, support entrepreneurship, and provide real opportunities—not just survival advice.
