Sending Rounds Down Range 💥

U.S. Marines with Battalion Landing Team 1/8, 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC), participate in a deck shoot aboard the amphibious assault ship USS WASP LHD 1 in the Mediterranean Sea, Oct. 15, 2024. The Wasp (WSP) Amphibious Ready Group (ARG) and embarked 24th MEU (SOC) is conducting operations in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/U.S. Sixth Fleet area of operations on a scheduled deployment. The WSP ARG-24th MEU (SOC) is supporting U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region, including in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, to continue promoting regional stability and deterring aggression.

Live-fire Exercise in the Mediterranean Sea 💥🌊

U.S. Marines assigned to the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC) conduct a live-fire exercise on the flight deck aboard the amphibious assault ship USS WASP LHD 1, Oct. 16, 2024, 2024, in the Mediterranean Sea. Wasp is conducting operations in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa/U.S. Sixth Fleet (NAVEUR-NAVAF) area of operations as the flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group (WSP ARG)-24th MEU (SOC). The WSP ARG-24th MEU (SOC) is on a scheduled deployment to the NAVEUR-NAVAF area of operations, supporting U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region, including in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, to continue promoting regional stability and deterring aggression.
