Most people think the Amalfi Coast is famous because it’s beautiful. 🌊🍋
But what makes it truly extraordinary is that it was built where no city should have existed.
For centuries, people carved terraces into the mountains, built villages on cliffs, and created an entire landscape by hand.
The result is one of the most spectacular coastlines in the world — not just a masterpiece of nature, but a masterpiece of human determination.

Most visitors come to the Pantheon for its dome. Few realize they’re also standing inside Italy’s royal mausoleum. 👑🏛️
While the Pantheon was originally built as a temple for the gods of Ancient Rome, it later became the final resting place of the Kings of Italy.
Inside are the tombs of Vittorio Emanuele II, the first King of a unified Italy, Umberto I, and Queen Margherita of Savoy.
After Italian unification, the Pantheon was chosen to represent the new nation’s identity and memory. Even today, volunteers continue to honor and guard these royal tombs.
A monument that has witnessed pagan Rome, Christian Rome, and the birth of modern Italy. 🇮🇹
