Need an historical perspective on Oscar's visual effects history? Here's a fascinating 11:30 montage, compiled by video makers Andy Schneider and Jonathan Britnell, aka Burger Fiction, depicting every VFX winner through Oscar history -- from the 'best engineering effects' of the 1927 aviation epic "Wings" to the 'best visual effects' of "Ex Machina" in 2016.
