Dopo la Sicilia, la nostra prima fermata virtuale insieme al è la TURCHIA. 🇹🇷

Per questa tappa ci siamo lasciati ispirare dal Börek, una delle preparazioni più antiche e diffuse della cucina turca.
Le sue origini risalgono all’epoca dell’Impero Ottomano e ancora oggi viene preparato in mille varianti diverse: con formaggio, carne, spinaci, erbe aromatiche o patate.

E mentre lo preparavamo ci siamo resi conto che, in fondo, non è poi così lontano da molte ricette della nostra tradizione. Perché ovunque ci si trovi nel Mediterraneo, le persone hanno sempre trovato un modo per racchiudere ingredienti semplici dentro una sfoglia e trasformarli in qualcosa di speciale. ✨

Cambiano i nomi, cambiano le forme, cambiano gli ingredienti. Ma le ricette viaggiano da sempre insieme alle persone, attraversano confini, si trasformano e continuano a raccontare storie di casa, famiglia e condivisione.

After Sicily, our first virtual stop is Turkey. 🇹🇷

For this stage of the journey, we were inspired by Börek, one of the oldest and most beloved dishes in Turkish cuisine.

Its origins date back to the days of the Ottoman Empire, and it is still prepared today in countless variations: with cheese, meat, spinach, herbs, or potatoes.

As we were making it, we realized that it’s not so different from many dishes in our own culinary traditions. Because wherever you go in the Mediterranean, people have always found ways to wrap simple ingredients in a delicate pastry and turn them into something special. ✨

The names change, the shapes change, the ingredients change. But recipes have always traveled with people, crossing borders, evolving over time, and continuing to tell stories of home, family, and sharing.
