The "Sports and Environmental Education Park," a project to regenerate the Meisino Park in Turin, at the CITY'SCAPE AWARD 2023 organized by PAYSAGE TOPSCAPE, receives a SPECIAL MENTION in the category "CITY LANDSCAPE: Parks, gardens, green and connecting spaces in the dense city"

The 400,000-square-meter project, to be financed under the "PNRR - Sport and Social Inclusion," is set in a valuable naturalistic context in the center of the city of Turin, and aims at the environmental, building and functional rehabilitation of the park area "Meisino locality" and the former galloping area, providing for a destination of use for sports and recreational activities inserted in the green, together with environmental education
The design goals are:
- ensure new spaces within the city for the approach to sports and consequently encourage greater social inclusion and integration
- to stimulate motor education that inserts the person in the environmental context and at the same time provides opportunities for non-formal educational activities (outdoor education)
- to bring citizens closer to direct knowledge of the territory, in particular of areas with an important naturalistic vocation, and to make them aware of the importance of a conscious use of the environment that surrounds them, in order to recognize opportunities but also fragility of the natural capital present along the river
