Το σύκο στην κλασική Ελλάδα ήταν ο τρίτος σε σπουδαιότητα καρπός μετά την ελιά και το σταφύλι.

Τα ζώα που εξέτρεφαν για το νόστιμο συκώτι τους (συνήθως χήνες και γουρούνια) τα τάιζαν με σύκα. Έτσι προέκυψε η ετυμολογική συγγένεια των λέξεων σύκο και συκώτι. Το σύκο είχε από την αρχαιότητα και ερωτική σημασία, μιας και σήμαινε το γυναικείο γεννητικό όργανο.

In ancient Greece, the fig was the third most important fruit after the olive and the grape.

Animals raised for their tasty liver (usually geese and pigs) were fed figs. This is how the etymological connection between the words "fig" and "liver" (in Greek, "σύκο" and "συκώτι") emerged.

The fig also held erotic significance in antiquity, as it referred to the female reproductive organ.

Ermis è un compositore e un producer autodidatta, classe 1995 nato in Malesia e cresciuto ad Atene. Ermis is a self-taught composer and producer, born in Malaysia in 1995 and raised in Athens. He goes to study or work in Scotland, America, Moscow and Macao. Eventually, he returned to Greece, set up his own studio, painted a piano blue and decided to dedicate himself to music. Today, he writes music for well-known commercials, short films and artists.
“I used to write a piece of music every day, like a diary, and even now if I listen to this melody I know exactly what happened that day and how I felt.”, he says.
