The Workshop in Economics of INnovation, Geography and Science (WINGS #1), building on the legacy of the Workshop in Economics of Innovation, Complexity and Knowledge (WICK), is a workshop for doctoral students and early-career researchers, jointly organized by the PhD in Innovation for the Circular Economy (University of Turin) and the YSI.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together young researchers from different disciplines and provide them with an opportunity for discussion of both full and early works. Participants will also have the opportunity to receive helpful feedback from distinguished faculty members and external scholars.

The renowned format and edition will take place on December 11–12, 2025, at the Department of Economics and Statistics, "Cognetti de Martiis", University of Turin, Turin (Italy).
The workshop will feature three Keynote Speeches by renowned scholars and encourage submissions on the Economics of Innovation, Economic Geography and Economics of Science, bringing together methodologically heterogeneous works from Econometric contributions to Complex Network Analysis and AI tools.

We are glad to host as keynote speakers Prof. Elvira Uyarra (University of Manchester), Prof. Valerio Sterzi (University of Bordeaux), and Prof. Valeria Costantini (University of Roma Tre).
