officially, Italy's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has documented over 350 grapes to date, but many estimate that number to be closer to 500 different varietals. No matter the official number—it’s a lot of fruit and every single region in Italy makes delicious wines. Some regions require a bit more sleuthing to uncover the gems, but Italy does its part to deliver delicious, compelling wines to a thirsty public.

Ufficialmente, il Ministero dell'Agricoltura ha documentato fino ad oggi oltre 350 uve, ma molti stimano che il numero si avvicini a 500 varietà diverse. Non importa il numero ufficiale: c’è molta varietà e ogni singola regione in Italia produce vini deliziosi. Alcune regioni richiedono un po’ più di investigazione per svelare le gemme, ma l'Italia fa la sua parte per offrire vini deliziosi e avvincenti a un pubblico assetato.
