LOOKING FOR A HOME

Leo the 3.5 year old chihuahua is an insecure little chap who is looking for an experienced home who will be patient and help him grow in confidence in his own time with support and positive reinforcement. He is currently in a foster home with males and females, but we think he’ll feel more relaxed with females only but would definitely benefit from another canine friend as this is what he’s used to.

Leo is more used to female humans, his new home should have a female willing to be his lead carer initially at least. He has sadly had a negative experience with children in the past so we will not be placing him with children of any age. He does enjoy playtime with his canine pals and equally enjoys a lap cuddle with his human. He can get frustrated and he will spin to show this. Leo is a sweet little chap who has his insecurities and so deserves to be settled in a home after a tough start in life. Leo is neutered and vaccinations completed.

Keeping Your Dog Safe in the Summer Heat 🐶

As temperatures rise, it’s important to remember that dogs can quickly overheat, even on days that don’t feel particularly hot to us.

Pavements can become dangerously hot. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their feet.

Never leave a dog in a parked car. Temperatures can rise rapidly and become life-threatening within minutes, even with an open window.

Watch for signs of heatstroke, including excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, confusion, or collapse. Heatstroke is a medical emergency and requires immediate veterinary attention.

Some dogs are particularly vulnerable, like puppies, senior dogs, flat-faced breeds, overweight dogs, and those with underlying health conditions.
