Arthur Taylor’s story is one of perseverance.

At the tender age of 5 it became clear that his journey would be challenged by loss of sight. Despite the many pitfalls he never stopped, and is still determined to keep going.

Since the enactment of the Disabilities Act, public awareness has grown significantly, with more inclusion in planning, communication, and accessibility efforts.

While progress is being made, key areas still need attention—employment, access to education, and the built environment.

The Disabilities Act has brought progress, including improved accessibility in public spaces and greater public awareness of persons with disabilities.
