Jamaica Rising

This is Maëlle, our Co-founder and Director of Jamaica Rising, under the Kindah Tree in Accompong Maroon Village where Nanny and Cudjoe (Kojo) would plan battle strategies and have council meetings. ’Kindah’ means family, and thats what Jamaica Rising is about, the unification of us all as one family. We have been travelling deeper into Jamaica and gathering friends, who have become family all over the island. Our Docuseries introduces the amazing people we meet on our journeys, and gives a deeper understanding of the culture and landscape of our country. Jamaica rising pulls together people who are passionate about the causes they live and lead in, and creates a unified movement for us to share their powerful contributions with Jamaica and the world. It is a call to action for us all to get involved in empowering the work of our people and celebrating their positive contributions and achievements.
