You have demonstrated what it means to build, inspire, and uplift others through committed leadership.

The JLP is ending Women’s Month with a BANG!

From 1944, when Iris Collins broke barriers as Jamaica’s first female Member of Parliament and Cabinet Minister, the legacy was set.

We didn’t stop there.

We made history again with Fayval Williams — Jamaica’s first female Minister of Finance.
Then, it continued on the global stage with Kamina Johnson Smith — a powerhouse in Foreign Affairs.
In the party's professional youth affiliate, Sashana Lee Edwards rose as the first female General Secretary of G2K, and in 2026, became its first female President.

This is not coincidence. This is culture.

The Jamaica Labour Party does not use women for convenience. We build, empower, and elevate women into leadership.

Tested. Tried. Proven.
JLP women don’t just participate they lead. 💚💚💚💚

On the 142nd anniversary of the birth of Sir Alexander Bustamante, GenTech alongside g2kjamaica joined in paying tribute to Jamaica’s founding father with a floral offering in his honour.

As young professionals and innovators, we reflect on his fearless leadership, his advocacy for workers’ rights, and his lasting impact on nation-building. His legacy reminds us that progress requires courage, service, and an unwavering commitment to country.

May we continue to lead with purpose and play our part in shaping Jamaica’s future. 🇯🇲
