💫تعتمد تقنية الواقع المعزز على تعرف النظام على ربط معالم من الواقع الحقيقي بالعنصر الافتراضي المناسب لها و المخزن مسبقا في ذاكرته، كإحداثيات جغرافية أو معلومات عن المكان أو فيديو تعريفي أو أي معلومات أخرى تعزز الواقع الحقيقي. و تعتمد برمجيات الواقع المعزز على استخدام كاميرا الهاتف المحمول أو الكمبيوتر اللوحي لرؤية الواقع الحقيقي، ثم تحليله تبعاً لما هو مطلوب من البرنامج والعمل على دمج العناصر الافتراضية به.
