✈️ Event Announcement: OBBI ➡️ OJAI | With ATC Coverage from Gate to Gate!

Join Jordan vACC and Khaleej vACC TONIGHT for an unforgettable journey across the Middle East in “Pearls to Petra.” Depart from the shores of Bahrain and fly northwest across the Arabian Peninsula toward the historic heart of Jordan.

Pilots will depart Bahrain International Airport (OBBI), the land of pearls, and make their way toward Queen Alia International Airport (OJAI) in Amman, the gateway to one of the world’s most iconic historical wonders—while enjoying full ATC coverage along the route for an immersive and realistic experience.

In addition, we are pleased to announce that a Controller Practical Test (CPT) will be conducted on OJAI_TWR starting at 1500z up to 1700z for our candidate Yanal Bataineh, who will be working toward earning his S2 rating. We encourage all pilots to support him by flying and keeping him busy!

Join us TONIGHT - Thursday, March 12th, 2026 - as we light up Jordan one final time this holy month from 1800z to 2000z. Our controllers will be fully staffing Jordan’s major airports:

Queen Alia International Airport (OJAI)
Amman City Airport (OJAM)
King Hussein International Airport (OJAQ)

🛫 Experience the unique atmosphere of late-night operations during Ramadan as traffic flows across Jordan’s airspace in preparation for Suhoor. Whether you’re flying short regional hops, long-haul arrivals, or exploring the beautiful Jordanian scenery, Suhoor Nights offers an engaging and welcoming environment for all pilots.

This event is open to everyone — whether you are observing Ramadan or not, fasting or not — all are welcome to participate and enjoy the spirit of community and aviation. 🌙✨

🛫Prepare for an unforgettable VATSIM experience as Hellenic vACC and Jordan vACC bring pilots together along one of the Eastern Mediterranean’s most iconic air routes!

Take off from Amman – Queen Alia International (OJAI) and track north-west into the heart of Greece, arriving at Athens – Eleftherios Venizelos (LGAV), all while enjoying realistic ATC coverage, structured flows, and coordinated handoffs along the way.
