Today we celebrate alongside Mela Oman member, Maryam Al Amri, who marks the launch of her book “Innovation for Humanity”, a thought-provoking work that re-centers people at the heart of innovation.

Blending values, purpose, and modern innovation thinking, her work reminds us that true impact begins with meaning, awareness, and responsibility.

Congratulations, Maryam, on your remarkable achievement and dedication.

“Innovation for Humanity” places the human being back at the heart of the innovation process, affirming that true transformation begins with awareness before tools, and with meaning before achievement. It weaves together the depth of Quranic values with the latest theories of institutional innovation, presenting a vision that sees innovation as a moral responsibility toward humanity and society — not merely a technological race.

On Saturday March 14, the Mela Lebanon Chapter gathered for a warm and heartfelt conference call.

It was a moment of solidarity, a space where members could pause, share thoughts, and uplift one another during these challenging times.

They reflected not only on the difficulties many are facing due to the military attacks on Lebanon - like the freeze of business - but also on the deeper meaning of leadership.

True leadership, the kind we value at Mela, is rooted in integrity, empathy, and responsibility toward our communities.

Whatever the path, these moments remind us that leadership is not only about positions, it is about humanity, presence, and standing together when it matters most.

Grateful for this community and the strength we find in one another. A special thank you to Hiba Chamout, Mela Lebanon Chapter President, for bringing the community together.
