Happy Mashujaa Day!

Observing and working with start ups and budding business, many entrepreneurs believe that they need lots of money or more staff or just something outside their current reach to attain to a level of productivity in their business.

This is most often not true.

I have learnt and am still learning in many ways that excellence is a mindset.

The difference between those playing the big leagues and those who percieve themselves to be small time is more of a mindset issue than a money or infrastructure issue.

Have you written yourself off from a certain clientele? Business location? Reach?

What would you do differently if you had more capital? That investment? Greater manpower?
How can what seems far be brought 'near'? 🤔

"Njeri, tunakutana lini? Mimi nataka tu kuomoka!" 😅😆
I don't know where I gave the impression that I help people "kuomoka"...🤷🏾‍♀️ but this statement from a client who has lagged behind on her coaching sessions makes me laugh everytime I remember it.

Here's the thing, most small businesses carry the mindset that they must squeeze dry 👀 every possible available moment to work their business thoroughly inorder to "survive". 🥴
There's truth to this. The requirement to work at your craft or trade in buying or selling is key to staying afloat.

However, apart from the time spent in the actual trade, very few set aside to grow in value. The trouble with the "kuomoka" mindset is that the end is money, not necessarily value.

You want to make the most out of your day, your staff, your followers, your customers, your premises etc. with minimum input. This keeps many business going round in circles of hand to mouth and not real growth.

I had the honour of sitting with a lady in her sixties to discuss business recently. A most enlightening meeting.
She retired some time ago from a successful corporate career and is looking to start a venture.
Her ideas were so diverse... key objective being to be occupied and to nurture something rewarding. Her primary profit was defined very differently.
Bottomline was the need to give a service that would be valuable not only to prospective clients but to her.
If you're thinking of starting up, no matter your age or status, the best place to begin looking is inward. Your product or service will most likely succeed when it is resonant with your person.

📍It is the virtue in you that will be of longterm value to you and others. Not necessarily what is trending at the moment. Remember the quails obsession?😄
Beyond demand and supply, the reward in giving value is that you're the first believer, partaker and beneficiary of your own medicine.
