missionaries at Mulunguni are actively using cattle for agricultural labor, mainly for digging, tilling, and preparing the soil for planting. This traditional and practical method helps them cultivate their farm efficiently while reducing costs and physical strain.

By using trained oxen to pull plows, the land is broken and turned in readiness for planting. The cattle make it possible to prepare larger portions of land in a shorter time compared to manual digging. In addition, the animals help in transporting farm inputs such as manure, seeds, and tools around the farm.

This approach promotes sustainable agriculture, improves soil productivity, and supports food security for the mission. It also demonstrates wise use of available local resources, encouraging self-reliance and stewardship of the land.

The work at Mulunguni is a powerful example of dedication, teamwork, and sustainable farming in action.

In the quiet and beautiful village of Mwaluphamba, Kwale County, hope walked in with humility and love as MUPE Director, Janet Kosgei, paid a heartfelt visit to the missionaries serving in this remote area.

The journey was not just a physical one, but a mission of encouragement, solidarity, and faith. Upon arrival, Director Janet witnessed firsthand the dedication of the missionaries who, despite limited resources, continue to serve the community with unwavering commitment. With simple tools and bulls used for digging and preparing the farm, these servants of God are laying foundations not only for food security but also for sustainable ministry.

As the bulls slowly tilled the land, the scene spoke volumes of resilience, perseverance, and faith in action. This was more than farming; it was a testimony that ministry goes beyond the pulpit. It reaches the soil, the sweat, and the daily struggles of the people.

Director Janet Kosgei took time to interact with the missionaries, listen to their stories, pray with them, and encourage them to remain steadfast. Her presence brought renewed strength and reminded them that they are seen, supported, and valued.

This visit reaffirmed MUPE’s commitment to reaching the unreached, supporting missionaries in remote areas, and empowering communities through practical solutions and the love of Christ.

Indeed, in Mwaluphamba, seeds were planted not only in the ground, but in hearts.
