Today marks a significant milestone for us at the North Rift Economic Bloc (NOREB) as we proudly unveil our region's Gender Strategy for 2024 - 2028.

Gender mainstreaming is at the heart of our vision for an all-inclusive society, one that propels us towards our developmental goals with unwavering commitment.

Our Gender Strategy is meticulously crafted to address key interventions across multiple domains including peace and security, climate change, economic empowerment, gender equality, vulnerabilities, culture, leadership and governance.

With the esteemed presence of dignitaries from across the 8 NOREB counties and beyond, including representatives from our valued partners under the REINVENT project and the esteemed office of the British High Commissioner, the event was nothing short of extraordinary.

Our Host Governor and Chair of NOREB, H.E. EGH. Hon. Stephen Araap Sang, alongside the chief guest, His Excellency Dr. Jonathan Bii Chelilim, E.G.H., led the esteemed guests through this momentous occasion.

The successful implementation of this strategy holds the promise of not only fostering gender equality but also of propelling our region towards unprecedented progress and prosperity. Together, we are paving the way for a future that is equitable, sustainable, and truly inclusive for all.

The two day NOREB Peace Summit ended today with a commitment by the NOREB Governors to take the lead in search of a lasting peace in the region. Here are the 16-point resolution committed by the Governors.
