Happy Madaraka Day!

Today, we celebrate Kenya’s journey towards self-governance and honor the women and men whose courage, sacrifice, and leadership shaped our nation's path to freedom.

As we reflect on our progress, let us continue building a Kenya where women, girls, men, and boys have equal opportunities to thrive, lead, and contribute to a peaceful and inclusive society.

Happy Madaraka Day, Kenya.

Cohort 4 of the Nia Upeoni Systems Change and Leadership Academy has officially graduated.

This week, we celebrated a journey of growth, reflection, and commitment to community transformation.

Through the academy, these young leaders strengthened their s@ystems thinking, self-awareness, and ability to lead with intention.

Leadership is not a title, it is responsibility.

Congratulations to Cohort 4. The work continues.

This week, we welcomed Cohort 5 of the Nia Upeoni – Kujenga Njia Fellowship Programme for a 2-day in-person induction workshop.

Rooted in systems thinking, reflection, dialogue, and action-based learning, fellows explored complex social challenges, reflected on their leadership journeys, and engaged deeply with the practice of building collective pathways for change.

Drawing from the spirit of Kujenga Njia — “building the road together” the induction created space for courageous conversations, shared learning, and community-rooted leadership across lived experiences and contexts.

This is not leadership for status.
It is leadership grounded in responsibility, practice, and collective action.

Cohort 5, welcome to the journey.
