Yesterday,24/07/025, marked the beginning of a critical journey in Siaya County.
The inception meeting of the “Bridging the Gap: Enforcing Human Rights and Corporate Accountability in Kenya’s Extractive Sector” project convened key stakeholders—from civil society organizations, county government departments, to industry players in the mining sector.
This project, implemented by CIAG under the Haki Ni Yetu initiative and supported by the European Union, sets the stage for a future where communities are protected, human rights are upheld, and corporate accountability is the standard—not an option.
We’re laying the foundation for lasting change in Kenya’s resource extraction landscape.
