THROWBACK - - Banjul, Gambia 🇬🇲 : Another of the few English speaking countries of West Africa. To get to The Gambia, you've to first go through Senagal and so I entered Senegal with a 1st stop in Ziguinchor. This was the same week Senegal had experienced serious political unrest esp in the Ziguinchor area, home of the opposition leader. I didn't want to take chances and my aim was for The Gambia capital, Banjul. We were one biiig family at this campsite in Banjul, even shared a fruit that took us days to finish 😋. I was also hosted by the Kenyan Diaspora here, thanks Ibra for your kindness.

Guinea Bissau was never to be until I was denied entry into Senegal 🚫
My only viable option was to process entry into Senegal from Bissau. THE DRAMA!!
Then I was also cought up in spontaneous demos in the middle of Bissau capital city. Damn!!
