Hello my fans,

I haven’t released any songs this week because of the painful incident that happened in Juba, South Sudan, especially in Jebel Iraq. We lost our brothers and sisters. In my home, Mading Aweil, we lost many children—young lives who were helping their families and were the future of our nation.

We are still crying for their souls. Some of these children had no parents and were struggling on their own, trying to survive and support themselves. Now they are gone, just like that. It is very painful, and hard to understand how someone can take another person’s life so easily.

Our leaders keep telling us that peace will come, but we are still waiting. When will we truly have peace? When will we love one another and come together to build our nation?

This country is beautiful and blessed with so many resources, more than many other nations. But if we continue with this mindset of violence and division, we will not understand how great South Sudan is until the next generation.

We need love, unity, and opportunities. We need jobs for both those with documents and those without, so everyone can support their families. We need companies, development, and a future we can all believe in.

Please, our leaders, guide us in the right direction so we can love each other like brothers and sisters and build a stronger nation together.

I am speaking on behalf of the young leaders we lost in Jebel. May their souls rest in peace.
