For three days, the Trademark Hotel was buzzing with conversations about AI, digital inclusion, humanitarian response, data systems, and the future of technology in development.

From 20–22 May, ICT4D Conference 2026 brought together hundreds of professionals, practitioners, and changemakers across 76 sessions filled with learning, debate, and collaboration.

While attendees moved between sessions, connected over coffee, and exchanged ideas, our team was working behind the scenes to make the experience seamless. From onsite registration and badge printing to payments, attendee support, and live session check-ins, Eventmatic helped keep everything running smoothly across all three days.

What makes event technology exciting for us isn't just the registrations or attendance numbers. It's the people behind every check-in. The curiosity that fills every session room. The conversations that spark new ideas, partnerships, and solutions.

One of our favourite moments is always watching an event come alive—from the quiet moments before registration opens to the energy of hundreds of attendees moving through the venue with purpose.

Through real-time attendee tracking and session check-ins, organisers had instant visibility into engagement throughout the conference, allowing them to understand participation as it happened.

Four days,hundreds of investors, founders, and industry leaders. One registration flow that had to work without delays or bottlenecks.

At the Annual AVCA Conference & VC Summit 2026, held from April 27th–30th at Radisson Blu, our role went beyond simply “checking people in.”

Using Eventmatic, we managed delegate check-in in real time, issued pre-printed PVC badge cards at the registration desk, and coordinated gift issuance with accuracy and speed. Because when you’re handling high-level attendees, the smallest delay at registration can shape the entire first impression of the event.

The PVC cards added a premium feel to the experience and required smooth coordination at the registration desk to ensure every delegate moved through quickly and seamlessly.

From arrival to badge collection to entry verification, the goal was simple: keep the experience seamless while the conversations inside the summit took center stage.

Before the event begins, there’s always that quiet hum of anticipation before the show begins.

On 24th April at JW Marriott - Nairobi, the Africa Finance Corporation 18th Annual General Meeting quickly came to life.

Delegates arrived, badges issued in seconds, lines moved effortlessly. Eveythibg was just a smooth, guided flow from entrance to the experience.

From on-site registration to check-in and guest ushering, every first impression was intentional.
